We offer two forms of sprayed-on foam applications: open cell foam and closed cell foam. Both are spray-applied plastics that can form a continuous insulation and air sealing barrier on walls, around corners and other surfaces. Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation is known to resist heat transfer extremely well and offers a highly effective solution in reducing unwanted air infiltration.
The two types of foam insulation differ in R-values, moisture penetration and use. Closed cell acts as an air and water barrier, while open cell blocks air but allows some moisture to pass. The use of either foam type is decided by the use inside a building, not on the R-value.
As much as 40 percent of a building's energy is lost due to air infiltration - gaps, holes and air leaks can raise your power bills. Spray foam acts as both insulation and air barrier, making your building more livable and energy efficient.
